These are information gathering, planning, design, development, testing and delivery, and finally maintenance.

Information gathering

This step basically involves collecting information relevant to your business. It’s important to outline your purpose, goals and be familiar with your target audience to develop the relevant content.

Planning

This step entails putting together the information gathered in the first step to develop a site map. This will involve creating all topics and subtopics relevant to your site. Design

This is when the appearance and the feel of your website are determined. You’ve got to make decisions about the images, graphics and business logo to use in your site. It is important to ensure that the site matches the taste of end users.

Development

In this stage, the actual website is created. It will comprise of the homepage and the template for your website’s content.  Content management systems are operationalized. Your input is very critical at this stage and you can edit and make additional changes to your site.

Testing and delivery

In this stage, the site is almost complete and the designer makes final touches and evaluates functionality of the site and its compatibility with different applications. Moreover, the site is optimized and compliance with the current wed development standards is established.  The site now becomes available to the public for viewership.

Maintenance

This is the last stage and it involves creating backups for your site, installation of plugins and development of better content to ensure more client visitations. In addition, regular updating of your site is an important aspect of website maintenance.
